We recently ordered a 4-course menu here for 5 people for over €150. What struck us first was that we were not given a description of how to heat everything. We also received a 'bar' of potato gratin or something similar. there, which had nothing on it, but which was completely cold and therefore probably needed to be warmed up? And it was also not clear which dish it belonged to. We also missed the prawn crackers with the satay and the spring vegetables, which came with the pork tenderloin tips and the salmon. We did receive a bowl of 'Beurre Blanc', which according to the menu on the website belonged to the sea bass, but we had not ordered sea bass. Finally, we heated the main courses in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes, as described on the lid. Unfortunately, it turned out that when we were eating it, the salmon, satay and the Villa burger were not cooked: see photos. After we reported our complaints to the restaurant, it seemed that we would be compensated very nicely. We could place an order again and everything would be taken care of down to the last detail. Beautiful and very neat, we thought. But unfortunately: Only after submitting our new order were we suddenly told that we still had to pay €12.50 per person when collecting the order. Special course of events... This was really the last time we ever ate at Villa Velperweg.

We had first planned a lunch before our visit to the adjacent wine museum. Chose this Villa for practical reasons. Although impressed by the rich interior, not shocked by the price list. Helped by Mario, when he heard about our unreserved visit to the museum, he asked the kitchen to deliver quickly and went to the wine museum to arrange for us to join the tour and the delicious tasting. Vanmiddag een heerlijke lunch gehad voor 2 personen, inclusief 2 keer cappuccino en 2 keer een glas wijn. Echter was een glas water erbij niet mogelijk. Blijkbaar heeft Restaurant Villa Velperweg geen kraan. Uiteindelijk een fles water besteld voor het bedrag van 6, 20, ik gahier nooit meer heen!
