Honestly might be one of my favourite Korean places in Akl. The garlic pork soup was hearty and flavourful, and portions were SO good. Loved the presentation and side dishes as well. Watda is, without exaggeration, possibly the best Korean restaurant in all of Auckland. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is modern, cozy, and carefully designed. It feels authentic, yet at the same time elegant and comfortable. The service was excellent—always attentive and friendly. You can tell the team works with passion and professionalism. I tried the Big Katsu, one of their most popular dishes, and I can definitely see why. It’s spectacular: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite has amazing texture and flavor. They also have a vegetarian option, which is a great plus and shows they think about everyone. And the Korean fried chicken honestly, the best in all of Auckland. Super crispy, juicy, and full of flavor—a true delight that stays in your memory. Wata isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a complete experience. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, top-quality Korean food in Auckland. Ordered the chicken katsu and chicken noodle salad. The chicken katsu was juicy and tender and love the little side dishes. Price is on the higher side, but their portion and quality was on par with what you are paying. Also grabbed a mocktail drink which I think can be missed as you don’t get much for $12 and doesn’t have a Wow factor Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
