Had wings at this place on a weekend afternoon before the pandemic. Not many customers. Got 2 orders of wings. Couldn't finish all the wings and when I asked the waitress for a lunch box so I could pack the leftovers to go, she told me that I would have to pay another 80 cents/wing to bring them home. I told her I paid the regular price for the wings, and I did order a couple of drinks. She checked with the manager and he confirmed that it was their policy to charge extra to have the wings to go and she couldn't give any reason for this charge other than it's their policy. Can someone please explain what is the reason for Wings to do this? Safe to say I have not been to any Wings since.

I got pretty bad food poisoning here, their wings were tasted okay but they are definitely the cheapest of the cheap

We came to Wings Granville tonight because of an email from Wings inviting us to their National Wings day event. The fellow that seated us didn't know about it and so I showed him the email. He wasn't aware if it and suggested the happy hour wings instead. I asked our waitress and she said she'd have to ask the manager about the event but happy hour was ending if we wanted to order off if that menu. So we did. The manager never came by abiut the event. We got a surprise when the bill came we were told that we would be charged $1/wing to take our extra wings home as they were on the happy hour. We had a whole plate left :( The manager pointed to a sign about it on the back wall of their dark restaurant. Another staff person pointed out the extra charge was on the menu as well. Not an ounce of friendliness. I said we didn't see it and that if it was mentioned when we ordered we never would have ordered the different wing selections and other happy hour food. The manager called over our waitress and asked if she told us about the extra charge before we ordered. She said she had. I asked when she told us? She admitted it was at the end of our dinner. The manager gave the option of leaving the wings uneaten to avoid paying the extra charge to take the wings we paid for home. Then In an frustrated tone she said, 'I have solved your problem' and looked like she was ready to walk away. I said wasting food isn't a good solution. I told her that there are many places to go for dinner in the city and this had been an unpleasant experience. My husband loves wings and had been a sweetheart lately helping me while injured so I wanted to treat him to some wings as a thankyou. I hobbled multiple blocks to get there. Wings Granville you could have had long term repeat customers of us & our friends for many years. We came to enjoy wings and a good atmosphere. Instead we were embarassed in public and put in a position of wing wastage (close to a pound) or pay an extra wing fee to take them home We win't be returning. The only reason we took the time to write this review was to save others the experience.
