Drove 45 mins to come here after making a booking online AND them taking a deposit for it to be fully closed down. No one around, nothing open. It looked like it had been closed for a while inside and out and just had a sign in the door to ‘phone Jonathan if you’re owed money’. Jonathan didn’t answer. Disgusting really when I gave a phone number and email, so a 30 second message to me could have saved me a 1hour 30 min round trip. Atmosphere: 1

Normally like it here food is good. They canceled our booking due to a burst pipe which is fine however, the £20 deposit has still not been refunded! They have not replied to my emails or voicemails! It’s been a month now! Very disappointed! If I didn’t live in Exeter and know it was real I would think it was a scam! Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

My husband and I had a great date night at Wabi Sabi Bay. I’d heard good things and overall it was a fun and delicious experience. There were several things unavailable on the menu, I’m wondering if this is still some growing pains from being in the first year of opening? What was available was so yummy and the portions seemed very generous and fitting for what we paid. I loved my cocktail and it felt like a real treat to be eating and drinking on their lovely patio, the setting lent itself to a relaxing time. The server and host seemed a bit stressed but we didn’t feel ignored or hovered over and I appreciated that balance! We are looking forward to returning and wish the restaurant well, hoping it becomes an Exeter staple. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20
