The food might be good, but they make you wait at the door to wait for your party (and it is a cold morning, to sit at the entrance door what keeps opening) it’s a small place, and apparently some customers wait for an hour for their party, and take up the space, hence the policy. Too bad. It ruins the atmosphere. Kelly , however, who served us was EXCELLENT! She was courteous, cheerful, quick! She is 5 star!!! But there is no reason to come back. The manager wasn’t really apologetic about the seating either, not a kind smile. I guess you are busy enough, two customers will not make a difference. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

If you go to the Wade's Cafe website, the first thing you'll likely see is "The Best Affordable American Restaurant in Colorado Springs, CO". This is the best way to describe this place. The food is pretty cheap as far as dine-in restaurants go, and for what they are offering it is good. It's not the best food I've ever had, but it's a really solid restaurant and I find myself coming back every so often. This restaurant is almost always packed every time I have gone and the food still comes out on time and tasty. My favorite thing here is probably the burgers. On the menu they put "award winning burger" next to the breakfast burger. I don't know what the award they won was, but it is probably my favorite burger on the menu. The burgers come with a single 4 ounce or 7 ounce patty. I prefer a better cheese to meat ratio on my burger, and always end up getting two 4 ounce patties and an extra slice of cheese. The burgers have never disappointed me this way. I would also request crispy fries or crispy hash browns. I do this every time and they come out tasting so much better. If you're a Philly cheesesteak fan, the Philly sandwich isn't too shabby. I got it twice the regular way but the cheese they were using has a really rich, cloying taste to it, so by the end I wasn't really liking the sandwich. I started subbing Swiss for the American cheese, and it comes out tasting much better. The breakfast options are ok. I liked the buttermilk pancakes the best and the biscuits aren't bad but I have had better for both. The waffle is decent as well, but the French toast didn't really stand out to me.
