Edit: Unfortunately I have to revise my good review from a few years ago. Apparently the operator has changed or changed for the worse. It's still a nice place with beautiful surroundings. Good wild garlic soup. Unspectacular trout that unfortunately still had its gills when fried on the plate. The salad with the fish came before the soup was finished or cleared away. The liter of water for four people at the table came as a half liter with a glass. Overall: The service seemed stressful to the point of confusing, but it was also quite full. Unfortunately, two men, completely unknown to us, in sweaty sports clothes were sat down at the not very spacious table, who then talked uncomfortably loudly and unsettled our children. I understand this is common in pubs in this area; I expect a little more respect for the privacy of the guests from a restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime. I find the question itself intrusive and tactless, especially towards a family with small children. I can't rate the rooms. No cell phone reception. Original review: Great location, good prices. Great wild garlic soup, decent salads. The Franconian carp has too much breading and therefore too much fat for my taste. One of two tasted slightly musty. The baked trout with buttered almonds was okay, but unfortunately still had the gills in it. In defense: we visited on a very busy lunchtime. The dessert ice cream with espresso is impeccable, the wine list is easy to navigate and beautifully regional. Service: 1 Location: 5

The food was delicious. The service was nice and friendly and we were always happy to eat there if we wanted to (sometimes we got something other than fries with the schnitzel) Service: 5 Location: 5

We have stayed for 8 days..... This family have made our holiday to this area of Germany one of the finest ...Our room was so comfortable ..clean,relaxing and well cared for..We had our evening meals in their restaurant.... Each evening the meals were so delicious .. and a work of Art.. Very lovely selection of Wine and Beers....Their Private house selection of Sekt.. was the best we have ever had.....We are leaving for home tomorrow, and we already look forward to our next visit.....Waldgasthof Wildbad has been the Highlight of our Holiday.......
