THE new BEST Italian restaurant in town! Dinned at Waldo's tonight... the second day of their soft opening. Waldo's Ristorante is new to Palm Desert although it's sister-restaurant, Backstreet Bistro is a local favorite near the El Paseo shops! The bar at Waldo's is amazing... stocked with anything you could imagine and the bartender is very capable of making your cocktail wishes come true! Our server was Carlos and he was not only professional but anticipated our every need ensuring our water glasses, bread basket, and cocktails kept coming. Our meals were on point. The portions were generous and the preparation was superb. Lastly, we couldn't skip dessert... not during a soft opening! Both The Limoncello and the chocolate cake were amazing. As mentioned, this was the second day of a soft opening. We had the good fortune of saying hello to the manager before guests started to arrive. He mentioned in advance that they were still dialing in all aspects of the business and as such, they were only at half capacity. Well, if today is any indication of what they will offer going forward... They can expect absolute success. All of the staff from the bartender to the waiter to the bus boys were on point. Not to mention... The chef who turned out beautiful meals. Look forward to coming back many more times in the future. Cheers to Waldo's
