At the beginning of 2023, we tried to come here with my wife because I wanted to feel nostalgic about eating chicken penyet which really made me cry, we passed Bogor-Depok... but unfortunately when we got there the place had been demolished After a while, I finally found out that it had opened again and it had moved not far (still in the same alley). When I came here I hoped to get the same atmosphere and taste as before, but I couldn't feel the atmosphere of the rickety huts anymore and I had to move to an ordinary food stall like the RM Padang model. In the end I just hoped for the taste, unfortunately I didn't get that... I don't know if I forgot the taste or it was different... The chicken is the same tender, it's still as tender as before, but the taste of the penyet chicken is like something is missing,, in the past it seemed like it had a blackish color and had a sweet and savory taste which is characteristic of WSG chicken but now it's just like tender ungkep chicken. The spicy taste also doesn't make my wife and I cry when we eat it, maybe my wife and I have become stronger with chili sauce, or has the chili sauce changed? Likewise with the crispy mushrooms, in the past it seemed like if you ordered this you would get a sauce that was a bit sour and delicious (don't know what it's called), but now you get the same sauce as chicken, even though the sour sauce is also distinctive and delicious, you know. Does anyone feel the same way?? Has anything changed about the recipe?
