Went through the drive-thru at about 12:15 a.m. on a Tuesday. My expectations were quite low because I've never really experienced great customer service at this particular Whataburger, especially late at night. However, I'd been wanting to try their new Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. When I pulled up to pay, the gentleman at the window told me there would be about a five-minute wait for the chicken and asked if that was okay. I said yes and pulled forward. It ended up taking around 10 minutes, but I didn't mind at all. As I sat there waiting for my food, I realized it appeared he was completely alone. I didn't see anyone else the entire time I was there. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name. It wasn't on the receipt, but I'd like to say to the folks at corporate, or perhaps the franchise owner, that this gentleman did an excellent job. He was professional, courteous, and apologized for the wait when he brought my food out, which was thoughtful but completely unnecessary. As I mentioned, he appeared to be doing every job by himself. As for the food, it was great! I really enjoyed the unique combination of flavors. Everything was obviously fresh, and the fries were perfectly cooked and salted. This was, hands down, the best experience I've personally had at any Whataburger. I wanted to make sure Whataburger knows this gentleman did an outstanding job from start to finish. I regret not getting his name because he deserves the recognition for the excellent work he did.
