The Suns out! and where did we head to for an impromptu lunch? a beer garden with a river view. Very welcoming staff, we ordered a couple of small bite/starters and a burger (cheese, bacon & jalapeños) and chips to share to an outside table on the river bank. We have to say it was excellent, the food was served to our table fast and hot. Stilton and mushroom potato skins yes please! Salt and pepper squid crunchy coating, soft & tender squid.. I’ll see if I can get a basket full next time I reckon! Burger, juicy and full of flavour with crisp chips. 5 stars across the board, very impressed. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a brilliant and special place. Top service, atmosphere and environment. Loved the inside and the outside with the river streaming past and all the green surroundings to enjoy social interactions with friends in a busy but thoroughly warm, hospitable and traditional setting. I would point out all the staff for their friendly, professional service and especially Zoe who was brilliant in looking after us all when we visited. Everyone should check it out. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As the weather was suspect we went to the White Hart pub in New Haw for lunch, the food was excellent. I had the Chicken, bacon,leek pie with chips,peas,and a nice pot of gravy which was lovely. The pastry melted in your mouth, and the filling full of flavour. Rosemary had a chicken burger, which could have done with either some cheese or bacon with it, but the chicken was tender. The service was good, and the staff very friendly. We wouldn't have any problems going there again. May we pass on our thanks to you all From Ray, Rosemary, and our dog Susie Visited today January 14th @ 12noon. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
