First Visit: FIVE STARS! Great bartender, great communal energy and a fantastic vibe! It appears Anthony (the bartender) made a world a difference… it really felt like an episode of Cheers. Second Visit: TWO STARS. The chicken wings were bland, and we received poor attitudes from the two women working behind the bar and the tables. It just wasn’t the same magical place that we’d experienced three days prior. It sucks that this place feels hit or miss. Sidebar: the photo is from the first visit. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $10–20

I just don't get the hype. I've been here three times, and it isn't bad... but it isn't that good, either. The drinks are fine, the food is okay (the snack platter isn't worth $15), and the service is attentive. I'm guessing that Whoopsie's is relying heavily on vibes to justify the prices. $140 for dinner for two, all told. We shared an appetizer, a side, and a "main" (a sandwich), and we each had two drinks. We support local restaurants and want people to make a living wage... but if you're charging these prices, you need to provide better food and drinks. The competition certainly is.
