I used to like going to Wimpy when I was in my teens. Not 50 years later I thought I’d see what it was like. The place looks inviting enough for a fast food cafe. The service was efficient and the food was fast. We both had a burger and chips. The burgers were awful, a piece of grey meat which tasted of old stale cooking oil. The chips seemed to be reheated old chips cooked in stale oil. A real disappointment. This is easy fast food and should be much better. McDonald’s is way better. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Absolutely horrible rude staff, 2 young girls who need to learn manners and some ounce of respect for customers. my wife came to celebrate her sisters birthday and was deeply disappointed by the service! It’s not hard to be polite and even if you don’t want to be there do not let this bad energy fall onto paying customers. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Apsultly discusting service we all ordered most of us got allergic to milk cheese we told them this they came back with burger with cheese in again made my mum wait ages for it never listened to the customers we all had bad stomach from eating there they youngsters cooking and servicing I do defend do not recommend wimpy colchester as they didn't listen the only thing that was good was the onion rings but come theses youngsters need over shadowing we all had food poisoning we never setting foot in this place ever again. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: £10–20 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian offerings: Not sure Vegetarian options: Don't bother going really gone down hill Dietary restrictions: Told them we had allergic to things they still gave my mum cheese burger when told them sixty thousand times no cheese Parking space: Not sure Parking: Yeah terrible service terrible food terrible no one listen Kid-friendliness: No just got ignored could of killed milk allergic person don't go there at all in Colchester they even kept breaking plates in the back terrible cook need different cook as well Wheelchair accessibility: Was OK for this but we all got tummy ache straight after so all had to go home so wasted day out for us all my sister don't come down very often so so disappointed my mum was so ill afterwards we both sick straight afterwards don't they bloody listen about allergic
