This past Saturday my wife and I wanted to enjoy both good BBQ and the weather. We looked online and found Woodpeckers has a great reputation, we had to find out for ourselves. Here is our review:
A bit of a drive, but well worth it. We traveled from near the San Jose Golf Course.
I am in a wheelchair so getting about is a little challenging. My wife went in and LIsa met her almost at the door with "What can I do for you??!!??" We asked for outside sitting and the round tables available were not really a good choice. Lisa offered up a picnic table and asked where did we want to sit. Lisa, Gracie and Mackenzie grabbed a large table and BAM, the seating problem was gone.
Lisa stopped by the table not less than 5 times to make sure our experience was perfect. We had a tag team of Gracie and Mackenzie as our servers. Both were top notch representation for Woodpeckers!!
The food was AMAZING. We got the Full Pecker. The meats were perfectly prepared and the portion size was good. I cant tell you what we liked least, I know I loved the sausage, could have stopped there but my taste buds were glad I didn't!! The cole slaw was exactly as we enjoy it. The baked beans had an interesting but delicious taste. The selection of sauces was really great.
I cant speak to the inside of the facility, I never went in. Outside was well shaded with trees. Lots of parking, only one Handicap Parking spot. The only negative I could comment to was the picnic table top was in need of replacement, Lisa was aware and said new ones are being ordered.
The area is growing and I can see where Lisa will need to really expand the location in the next few years to meet the needs of future customers.
IF you are still reading, here is what is most important. Lisa has a great product, great location and great attitude. We WILL be back for more and more again!!!!! LISA, THANK YOU for making our Saturday outing great.
