We tried this place on a whim and WOW! Everyone loved it! Even our little kids! The variety was great and the flavors were incredible. Closest thing I've tasted to food I had while visiting Japan. The service was wonderful too and the interior vibes were warm and inviting!! Don't think about it, just try it!!! Meal type: Dinner

Wow, not at all what you would expect from a sushi restaurant in this location. The quality of the sushi and wagyu were outstanding! Sit at the bar to watch the chef prepare all of the dishes - if he's not a professional, I don't know who is. Highly recommend! As the wind carries falling cherry blossoms across the quiet field, I stand with armor worn and spirit tested, reflecting not on battle but on a feast worthy of remembrance. In the town of Pearland, I came upon a place called Yellowtail—unassuming, yet honorable in its craft. There, I was served salmon so rich it melted like snow upon the tongue, and cherry trout as delicate and refined as the petals drifting before me now. A hand roll of spicy tuna and cucumber brought balance to the meal—cool, crisp, and carrying a gentle heat, like the calm breath between clashes of steel. Each piece of nigiri was shaped with care, the rice neither too firm nor too loose, as if guided by a steady and disciplined hand. I partook as well in a roll they called the “Super Shaggy”—a creation less bound by tradition, yet bold and satisfying, like a warrior who fights with unorthodox skill and still claims victory. It was abundant, flavorful, and left no doubt of its strength. But it was the bowl of black tonkotsu ramen that lingers most in memory. A deep, warming broth, rich yet balanced, fortified my spirit as much as my body. The chashu was tender and plentiful—generous, like a lord rewarding loyalty. The egg, perfectly prepared, revealed its golden center like the rising sun after a long night of war. And the service attentive and respectful, swift without haste. I was treated not as a stranger, but as one returning home. Should my path ever again lead me through those lands, I will seek out Yellowtail once more.
