美祢駅近くで最高の焼き鳥屋さんを発見！厚狭川の夜桜見物の帰りに、ふらっと「やきとり ゆう」さんに立ち寄りました。 赤ちょうちんをくぐると、そこは昭和レトロな居心地の良い空間。そして何より驚いたのが焼き鳥の美味しさ！大将は鶏肉関係のお仕事をされていた“鶏のスペシャリスト”とのことで、納得のクオリティです。絶妙な焼き加減の串に、普段はお酒を控えている私でも、気付けばビールを追加注文していました。〆にいただいたちゃんぽんも絶品でした！ 注文は紙に書いて渡すシステムで、お値段も明朗会計で安心感があります。今回は名物の「長州どり熟成串」を食べそびれてしまったのが心残り。次回は必ずリベンジしに行きます！ごちそうさまでした。 Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I stopped by for some food on my way home from work. It's literally a yakitori restaurant, We also have rice dishes, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, etc. There are counter seats, but it might be a good idea to bring your kids along for a drink. Here, the skewers of Choshu Kurokashiwa chicken wings from Brandt chicken from Yamaguchi Prefecture (the bones were removed) were very delicious, with a chewy texture and a strong meaty flavor. I think it's a part that you can't eat much elsewhere, so it's a dish that I'd like other people to try at least once. The other one is Choshu dori, which is familiar in Yamaguchi prefecture. These aged skewers were soft and packed with flavor, and were very delicious. I think the main lineup will be yakitori using Choshu chicken. Next time I'll have a little more time and I'd like to try a few different things. There were snack shops scattered around the neighborhood, and it seemed like a few customers were stopping by the shops before going to the snack bar. You can also take out the food, so you can buy it, take it home, and have a drink at home.
