Bibida — Korean Restaurant, Notting Hill Gate A hidden gem, which we found because we were staying in Holland Park when the Notting Hill Carnival was on. In this area, not many restaurants were open, because they chose to close because of the Carnival — which seems mad to me with that many people around. The restaurant is very small: 16 covers on the ground floor, an outdoor area on the first floor with about 8 covers (nice in the summer), and an upper floor with a few covers — so a very small restaurant overall. Service was good. First course: • Korean BBQ Dumplings – deep-fried marinated beef dumplings, served with soy sauce Mains: • Donburi Spicy Pork with Rice – spicy stir-fried pork & vegetables • Jajangmyeon Noodles – noodles in black bean sauce with pork To drink: Korean barley tea (hot), a glass of Prosecco, and Fruit Soju (Grape, ABV 13%) The food was amazing, the service was good, and the price was amazing value for London — would be good value anywhere in the UK. I visit London regularly and regret that I’ve only just found out about this gem of a restaurant. The salmon sashimi is out of this world! Enjoyed the soft tofu stew very much too. Kimchi pancakes and fried chicken that were ordered by the next table looked amazing! It’s already my second visit here in 3 days and I can’t wait to be back again! Great chill ambience too! So delicious! Recommend. But i noticed the meal doesn’t come with banchan, which is the usual in Korean cuisine, kimchi and rice were extra cost. Maybe thats a London thing.. I’m not from here Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
