Went here today after the usual lunch hours to avoid the crowd in other restaurants as we noticed a lot of tables are empty, and left incredibly pissed off. We were seated and ordered first, yet THREE tables who arrived after us were served before we even got our food. I completely understand that wait times happen, but watching entire tables get their meals while we were ignored is unacceptable. Honestly, we were wearing casual, comfy clothes, and it really made us wonder if we were being actively discriminated against or just treated as a low priority because of it. The staff clearly needs a refresher course on how to properly run a dining room. And while you're at it, please deep clean the couch in the dining area because the smell was nauseating. One star is being generous. Won’t be back. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱1–500 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We visited Mesa Filipino Moderne around 2:30 PM. The restaurant was still quite busy, and we had to wait for a table. While waiting, a staff member suggested that we place our orders in advance to speed up food preparation. We proceeded with our order, and all items were confirmed as available. After being seated, we waited around 10–15 minutes when a staff member informed us that one of the appetizers was no longer available and offered a replacement. We declined, as our main dishes were expected to arrive soon. Shortly after, our food was served. However, we noticed that one of our orders was missing. Despite this, the staff initially insisted that our order was complete. The missing item was something the kids were specifically looking forward to, so we went to the counter to clarify. It was only then that we were informed that the item was actually unavailable. It was disappointing that this was communicated only after the food had already been served, especially since all items were initially confirmed as available. Overall, the experience did not meet the expected level of service. We hope improvements can be made in staff coordination and communication, as customers are paying in full for both the food and the service.
