Walked into the restaurant. The woman near the door saw me and my wife, but when she saw our 8 year old son she told us she only had a table for two people. Exited the restaurant and saw a table for four through the window. Gave the food 3 stars even though we didn’t get a chance to eat there. No warmth as she looked like she was trying to rid herself of us. Probably wouldn’t go back if the only restaurant in Kyoto. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Avoid if you’re a tourist, it’s extremely overpriced with tiny portions. I was really excited to visit this place as the reviews are good and I wanted some food that felt like home. The pizza was the same size as my hand and my boyfriend’s pasta was 3 mouthfuls. a bottle of wine is actually more expensive than getting 6 single glasses of the same wine? The waitress spoke to all the tables around us, offering them dessert and extra drinks but once she cleared our plate she didn’t come back to us with a dessert menu. I tried to get her attention to order dessert as I was still hungry but she pretended not to hear me and went into the back. Maybe if you’re a local you will get good service but it doesn’t seem tourist friendly. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥6,000–7,000
