This guy runs a one man show. It was super busy and he was constantly running around doing the work of like two or three people. Kitchen is great and the guy has excellent service (polite, fast, kind with a nice balance of no-non-sense). Food is excellent quality/reasonably priced. I gotta tell you I was pleasantly surprised- I’ve passed this place tons of times and was like “eeeeh maybe next time. From the moment I walked into the front door, to leaving - was a delightful experience. Absolutely earned and worked hard, for each of those five stars. ——— Went a second time. It wasn’t a fluke, this place is excellent. Mushrooms with smoked oysters, pork leg/tongue pâté, veal (which was amazing) and risotto. Also quality of the menu goes really deep and the chef is skilled and friendly. This place is a hidden gem in Chitose Funabashi and I can’t recommend it enough. —— Third time, solid list of entrees. Aged hamachi carpaccio with ayu & scallop sauce, pistachio and spice minced into chicken thigh, spice infused oil with yellowtail over pasta, and veal with homemade bacon and cabbage. Absolutely excellent dishes. —— The shellfish & Spinach plate had a lovely cream/wine sauce and we ordered a side of bread with it. The duck was very nicely cooked with a wonderful black garlic sauce and sweet jam. The seasonal baked Squid and Cauliflower Caesar salad was hearty and refreshing. I continue to be pleasantly surprised each time I come here. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
