If you’re looking for a fresh brunch or lunch spot in North Portland, An An is absolutely worth the visit. We ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. The standout for me was the An An Wings. They were crispy, juicy, packed with garlic and savory flavor, and finished with a squeeze of fresh lime that brought everything together. The fried chicken sliders were another favorite, with crunchy chicken on soft buns that disappeared fast. The garlic noodles with grilled shrimp were simple but incredibly satisfying. The noodles were buttery, garlicky, and perfectly cooked, while the shrimp were tender and nicely seasoned. For something sweet, the French toast was beautifully presented with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, and warm syrup. It looked almost too good to eat and tasted just as good. Don’t skip the drinks. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was smooth, bold, and refreshing without being overly sweet, making it the perfect pairing for brunch. Beyond the food, the restaurant has a bright, modern atmosphere with friendly service that made the entire experience feel relaxed and welcoming. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot where you can meet friends for brunch, grab lunch, or enjoy a casual dinner. Overall, An An delivers delicious Vietnamese inspired comfort food with creative twists in a comfortable setting. I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. Rating: 5/5. Salt and pepper wings, Vietnamese iced coffee, and green beans all delicious. Service was kind and inviting. Not very busy. Such a shame. Will gladly come back.

Food is good but the service was awful. We had to ask to order after waiting for 15 minutes. We ran ouy of water and drinks and were completely abandoned until we asked for boxes so we could pay and leave. Had she checked on us, even once, we'd have gotten another round of drinks and expanded the check more resulting in a bigger tip for her. No check in to see how the food was. No thank you or greeting. Completely abandoned. They weren't even busy. Our server was within eyesight most of the meal and just straight up ignored us. I suspect this is due to extremely poor training by management. It's sad because the food was pretty darn good. Reasonable prices for the serving size and the food came out hot and pretty fast. The experience is the culmination of the entire experience and unfortunately they've completely failed on the serving aspect of it. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch
