this restaurant sits in the lobby of the marriott hotel next to washington dulles airport. parking is free in the large lot in front of the hotel. i came with my husband and parents for a last chance lunch before hubby and i hopped on our flight back to the west coast. their lunch menu was pretty basic, the usual salads, sandwiches, burgers (the dinner menu was much more extensive...something to keep in mind for the future!) the restaurant actually looked more like a bar/lounge and left me wondering: where is the kitchen? i soon found out, it was on the other side of the hotel lobby. i ordered strawberry & goat cheese salad, which consisted of baby spinach, goat cheese, fresh strawberries, candied walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette dressing ($12). i added a salmon on top of my salad ($14) to get a bit of protein to keep me full for my 6 hr flight. while the service for taking our orders was quite quick, we waited quite some time for our order to arrive. while i wasn't super hungry, i did have a flight to catch so i was a bit antsy...fortunately, our food arrived and we had about 15-20 minutes to eat everything before we had to leave. the salad was very healthy, mix of greens and fresh fruit. the salad could have been a bit fresher, the spinach leaves were not super crisp, and some leaves wilted a bit. the strawberries were just ok...perhaps i'm a bit picky about this b/c i live in california where we get fresh strawberries pretty much year round. the goat cheese and candied walnuts were fine - hard to mess up on these, i feel. the salmon was grilled just right, but the taste and texture a bit dry. but it was a good portion and filled me up before the flight. fortunately, paying the bill was quite quick and we were out of there and at the airport in no time. a decent restaurant with good american food options, but if i had more time, i'd probably pick a different place to dine pre-flight.

It's been a while since I've stayed at this Marriott and things are definitely different. I figured I'd order something simple as it wasn't long ago I had the pre arrival meal on the plane. I ordered the "Buffalo Wings". Well... it was certainly a disappointment. They just fried the wings and gave a side of Buffalo sauce. Not exactly what I was expecting. Ate at the bar and the gentleman working behind the bar wasn't too attentive and difficult to understand. It was fairly busy at the bar tho. I've head much better wings

The chicken fingers breading looks like fish and chips. The bar tender was really cool and tried to correct. House salad not bad and beer is always good. Overall this property probably doesnt have to try that hard it's right at the airport.
