I remember buying takeaway cakes and bread here last September, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The staff member at the cashier seemed very unfriendly and irritated, even though we were the only customers in the pastry shop at the time. She also appeared to be in a constant hurry, as if she wanted us to leave as quickly as possible, even though we were still interested in buying more. Good pastries are important, but friendly and welcoming service makes a big difference too. Unfortunately, the attitude we experienced that day left a bad impression and was quite disappointing. UPDATE: Wanted to follow up on my previous review - big shoutout to the staff here! After I posted a low rating, an employee actually reached out, apologized, and offered a complimentary meal . Didn't take them up on it, but seriously impressed they cared enough to respond. Shows they value customers and are keen on improving. Guess I'll be giving them another try soon . Revised rating: Upgrading to 4/5 Bread Basket Pueblo de Panay (opposite Robinson's) - Updated Nov 16, 2025. Charming interior, but that's where the magic ends. We tried the lomi and house special pizza, but unfortunately, the pizza was burnt, and the lomi didn't live up to our previous experience at the SM Roxas branch (more flavorful and value for money there!). Overall, a disappointing and pricey experience. Maybe revisit and revamp? Sa pizza talaga tsk.
