If you’re ever craving a maple bar donut, this is the spot you need to go to. It has great flavor, and the donut itself has a nice little crunch to it while still being very fluffy on the inside. The service was really quick, and everyone was very nice. It’s also insane that they open at 3 AM, so if you’re craving a donut that early, this is definitely the spot to go! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Chuck's Donuts has been an early morning staple since I was old enough to pick out my own donuts over 30 years ago. Now most people who know about this Renton Highland gem will likely tell you that their world renown Maple Bars are the best this side of the Mississippi. I would have to agree, it all comes down to whatever is used in that fluffy light and rich homemade frosting, being generously slathered on each piece of rectangular deep fried dough. What makes this donut shop even more amazing though, the original owners, who made 3am Donut stops a family outing sold to an Asian family. The whole of the highlands was in shock and very concerned by this. And not because of the race of the buyer but the family maple frosting recipe was a FAMILY recipe. But to everyone's amazement the new owners wouldn't purchase if the family recipe wasn't included. They loved the Maple Bar just as much as every other Renton Highlander. As you now know, it was included in the sale and this is as good of time as any to say, the rest is history. DON'T FORGET THOUGH, THE EARLIER YOU ARRIVE THE FRESHER THOSE MAPLE BARS WILL BE.
