We’ve been regular customers of Honest Indian Restaurant, but our recent experiences—at two different locations—have been very disappointing. At the Suwanee location, I placed a pickup order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, not only was it not ready—they hadn’t even started it. I could see into the kitchen where they were making a large batch of pav bhaji and pulao (which I had ordered). Note: they don’t make individual orders—they cook big batches and serve from that. I asked the front desk why my order wasn’t ready. The response: “It’s coming, just 10 more minutes.” But that “10 minutes” dragged on for over an hour. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes, missing a very important meeting I had scheduled after pickup. Another Uber driver was also waiting forever. What’s worse is that they weren’t upfront. If they had simply told me the real wait time, I could’ve decided whether to wait or not. For a place named “Honest,” honesty seems to be the last thing they practice. To top it off, they charge a 3% credit card fee, and their prices have skyrocketed to near fine-dining levels—without any upgrade in quantity. Today, I paid $58 for two bhajis, one pulao, and one dosa. That barely fed three people for lunch. It’s outrageous for what you get. This was the final straw. I won’t be returning. Honest is overrated, overpriced, and clearly riding on its brand name. Some people may still go back, but it’s no longer worth it for us. And not to mention their nastiest bathrooms at both locations ( yuck yuck yuck ) always.
