Lovely atmosphere, and the ladies are the counter were welcoming and kind. Very aesthetic food. Sandwiches were good, however no vegetarian option when we were there (around 11am). The sandwiches were good portion sized, great focaccia bread but was oily (think like a greasy pizza vibe). The bun was huge, we split one between us, and the icing was lovely but the bun itself was rather plain. Lots of people and great atmosphere of laughter and fun. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: NZD 20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The food here was amazing. Service on point. When my partner and myself went to your store. We felt the service was amazing. The mocha was a little to bitter but overall we will be back. Keep up the good work. 10/10 would go again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a treat! Mother really does have something for everyone, with a great range of well-presented options. The sandwiches are generous and very filling, but there are also excellent smaller options if you’re not super hungry or looking for something a bit more budget-friendly. It’s order and pay at the counter, and when it’s busy, finding a table at the same time can be a bit of a juggle. Seating seemed first come, first served. My favourite was the garlic parsley knot with cheese - a real dark horse and one of the cheaper options too. Highly recommend. The cheese and salami sandwich was tasty, though slightly on the salty side. A light sauce, relish, or something a little sweet would balance it nicely, but it was still delicious as is. I also tried the mortadella and provolone sandwich with pistachio butter. The pistachio butter didn’t add a whole lot for me personally, but it’s an interesting and unique flavour combination. To finish, the apricot donut with lemon custard was lovely: fresh, citrusy, and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, a great experience with plenty of choice and lots of standout items.
