If you are looking for a warm atmosphere with great service, quality Italian food you need to visit Nanni in Rochelle Park. My wife and I have been going here for about a decade and every visit we feel at home by Manny and his staff. The food is classically Italian in the greatest way you can imagine, prepared with love and perfection. The starter salad is delicious, the bread comes out crispy and ready for butter, all the details matter each and every time you go. Once you try the dishes I strongly recommend getting a GIANT CANNOLI! Do not skip - bar none the best cannoli you will ever have. The bar is an inviting area where people visit for a few drinks, everyone feels comfortable and strangers strike up a conversation with each or the bartender who will remember you if you come back. If you are in the mood for great Italian dining Nanni is a great choice. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a wonderful dinner here recently for a work event. Despite it being a busy Friday night, we were immediately seated in our own section and drink orders taken. The whole night, the entire waitstaff made us feel like we were the only party there. Gave us excellent recommendations on food, everything looked incredible on the menu. I had a wonderful rigatoni, sausage and broccoli rabe platter, my friend had a beautiful salmon plate, in fact EVERY plate had everyone raving about it. There was a singer by the bar who came around and got some of us to get up and sing and dance with her. Music was never too loud and conversations could easily be heard. Dessert was a zablione with mixed berries, light fluffy and berries were fresh. A mini cannoli on the side was an extra treat. A cup of extremely delicious coffee ended things in perfection. Review of Nanni Ristorante My experience at this establishment was deeply disappointing and reflective of poor management practices rather than an isolated misunderstanding. According to the restaurant’s publicly listed hours, Nanni Ristorante advertises that it is open until 9:00 PM. Relying on this information, I made an online reservation for 7:00 PM. To ensure accuracy, I later called the restaurant to confirm both the reservation and the time. During that call, I was informed that 7:00 PM was no longer acceptable, but that 6:30 PM would be accommodated instead. We arrived promptly at 6:35 PM, only to be told upon arrival that the kitchen was closed because the staff was “tired.” This explanation is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable for a business that had confirmed a reservation moments earlier. If the restaurant chose to operate on reduced hours due to the Christmas holiday, this should have been clearly communicated online and over the phone, rather than placing the burden of misinformation on the customer. To compound the issue, the valet attendant had the audacity to request a tip despite the fact that the vehicle was never parked or moved in any capacity. This interaction further reinforced the lack of professionalism and customer awareness displayed throughout the evening. Restaurants are judged not solely on cuisine, but on reliability, communication, and respect for their patrons’ time. Unfortunately, Nanni Ristorante failed in all three respects. When customers make reservations in good faith and confirm them directly with staff, they should not be turned away due to internal mismanagement. This experience suggests a fundamental disconnect between advertised operations and actual service delivery. I cannot recommend this establishment to diners who value professionalism, transparency, or basic customer respect. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
