Nice American-style pizza and a cool atmosphere. Wish they had salt shakers on the tables though. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Decent slice. Crispy slice. It had zero flop NYC style crispy and firm. Slice was medium to average size but it was good! It’s easy and convenient and if you’re eating during rush hour this is a simple take away option that you can eat on the go! Good pizza, not just for Korea, but in general. I've had a fair bit of pizza in Korea and I'm accustomed to unfamiliar crust composition and texture, sauces that are too sweet, and odd toppings by western standards. And while many people may enjoy these, I'm looking for a more western pizza experience. Paper Plate gave me that experience. My son and I were in the area and he suggested pizza for dinner. I Googled local restaurants, read a few reviews on those one, saws how close it was, and suggested it. Glad I did. We were considering a whole pizza, but the guy working there pointed out how big the pizzas are and that they may be too much for two people. So, we went for a two weeks slices each and I'm glad we did. Between two slices of pizza each, 8 Buffalo wings, and some fries, we're stuffed. My son had the pepperoni, which was nicely covered in meat instead of a few here and a few there. I had the New York Supreme. It had fresh veggies, mushrooms, meats and jalapeños. The crust was the first thing I noticed. Pretty close to a New York style. Maybe a bit crispier than other New York pizza, but still flexible. It also had a nice taste to it, much more in line with traditional pizza. The sauce was neither sweet nor exceptionally acidic. It did not overwhelm the other flavors, but instead complimented them. Toppings were in nice proportions and provided a pleasant blending of flavors. The Buffalo wings were not as spicy as I'm used to. No matter. With Tabasco sauce on the table and red pepper flakes available, I was satisfied quickly. The wings had a slight Korean-ized flavor to them, but not in any way unpleasant. I actually found the slightly local flavor enjoyable. The fries were obviously from a bag but I didn't choose Paper Plate for their fries. Purely a secondary concern, and the quality of the pizza far outweighed a lack of homemade fries. The staff were friendly, although mostly focused on the job. But our food arrived reasonably fast and in good shape. I don't know what else I'd have wanted. The atmosphere was enjoyable, reminding me a bit of a pizza joint from my youth. It felt like something from the 1970s in some ways. Seating supported maybe 20 people, and people were in and out while we were there. Some ate in and others carried out. But the regular business spoke to the quality. Probably the only thing I'd ding this place for was the beer selection. I'm kind of a beer snob though and I was hoping for more variety. Even so, I was there for pizza, not beer. So no strikes called for that. If in the area, I would definitely eat at Paper Plate again.
