One of my absolute favorite neighborhood spots! For this area, it’s hard to beat the quality of the food at this price. It’s the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine. Honestly, every dish is delicious, but my favorites are the carpaccio, bottarga pasta, and the amatriciana. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love this place. Calm, stylish, cosy. Everything seems to be great quality. We were at Zest and had a long waiting time so they suggested this when we asked for dinner recommendations. The food was fantastic. The pasta was perfect with just a little bite to it. Flavours delicious, some subtle (like the duck) some punchy and bold, like the tartufo. The broccoli was crunchy and smoky, huge recommend as a flavourful side plate. Now about the ‘salt’. We had three dishes. Only the tartufo was rather ‘salty’, but that said, every tartufo dish I have had at any Italian across the globe (authentic Italians) has been salty. In short, this is a salty dish. It packs a punch of flavour. The others, both the saffron and the duck, were much more subtle in flavour. I found all delicious, but I can imagine some palates are unused to either of these that are on different ends of a spectrum, and yet, for me and the European palate (including an authentic Italian who said she now knew where to take her Italian family and friends when they visited) really very very good. On top of the delicious food we had some of the red wine by the glass. They only had one option—I’m guessing Koreans are more white-wine inclined, there are a bunch of options for that—but it was an absolutely delicious Montepulciano. If I have time and a friend to grab, I’ll be back before I leave Seoul! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩40,000–50,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Available for sure!
