Been trying to find a good place to get good fried filet catfish has become very hard these days. I have tried many places near me and still have not found that one yet. Thought I try this one last night. Ordered to go pick up and called ahead. I live 15 minutes away. It is a known easy location to get to off HWY. 45 in Spring, next to many other international markets. When I walked in there was only one person at counter getting their to go order and no others sitting inside eating. The place was empty and this was 7:00 pm on a Monday so may just be the day. Took food home to eat and did not look inside the bag until i got home. Ordered the 5/3 shrimp catfish with double hush puppies. The food was still hot so that means it did just come out of fryer. Unfortunately, it had the distinct smell of old cooking oil. The hush puppies were a bit sweet and not the kind of corn hushpuppies you normally get. Not a fan of over sweet hush puppies. The shrimp in my opinion was way over battered and that is all you really tasted. The catfish was not the normal flaky white catfish look and taste but it looked like a flat yellowish over fried piece of fish. It tasted somewhat like catfish but just could not tell. I also ordered two fried wings which were for my dog but I did try it and they were hot and decent tasting. I could here the cooks in the back talking nothing but Spanish and they must of not thought this old bald white man could understand. I won't repeat what they said but not something you say with a customer standing near. I will not be going back to try any other food. By the way, not everyone uses social media facebook so you must have an account to get to their website. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

I'm to to the area and was looking for something different than what right around the corner when I came across this HIDDEN GEM! The smell, the preparation & the taste will definitely have me coming back! The portions were nice and let's just say I got some points with the Lady of the house when I got home! THANKS LOUISIANA FISH HOUSE!!! Price per person: $20–30

I love seafood and this place will not disappoint. I had the New Orleans redfish along with two sides to go and it was delicious. I ordered gumbo and it was seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed it while waiting for the to-go order. I highly recommend this place if you want best of the best in a comfortable atmosphere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
